Barbara Skupien has an active corporate/commercial practice, working with clients on business opportunities and challenges as well as on complex business transactions. She is business savvy and at ease dealing with all levels of management. Barbara provides strategic legal input and manages the business transactions of her clients through to implementation, acting in an advisory role with senior management in early strategy development on important projects. Her client base spans a number of business sectors and is comprised primarily of private, owner-operated companies ranging from mid- sized family owned businesses to substantial operations. Barbara also represents a number of Canadian subsidiaries of large international multinational corporations and has a world perspective on commerce and business cultures. Barbara helps business owners and senior management confront, take charge of and implement change including reorganization, joint venturing, outsourcing, strategic alliances, financing, purchase and expansion. She also helps clients structure their businesses with shareholder agreements, partnership agreements and other management agreements. She ‘gets things moving’ in a personable, motivating and productive way, focused on creating value for her clients.
